David Padgett, one of the top basketball prospects in the country, took his official visit to Chapel Hill last weekend.

He really enjoyed his visit and said that UNC has moved up on his list. Padgett attended the UNC/Miami game with the other players. Also, he watched the team play pick-up games, and got a feel for the guys and how they play. Others have reported that Padgett was seen with the coaches and some of the players eating on Franklin Street and Padgett had a big smile on his face and seemed to be enjoying himself.

Along with UNC, other schools Padgett is considering: Kansas, Arizona, and Stanford.

Each coach from these 4 schools with make a visit to Padgett's home over the next few days.

Padgett is expected to make a decision by October.

Hopefully he will choose to be a Tar Heel, because we would be overjoyed to have him here!
Great article from a newspaper in Reno

I don't like the sound of that last one: </font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">quote:</font><hr /><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">
I don't think it is good either, but Doherty it doing everything he can. I think we have made up a lot of ground with Padgett, but I think he is still leaning towards Kansas.
In my opinion, we can win him over if Doherty gives a great home visit. Let's just hope he does.... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="biggrin.gif" />
