Ok, my wife has quit work and does not need the extra phone line at home. I want to bring in Cavalier Telephone's DSL package dsl, local phone and unlimited long distance for around $85/mo. I am one of 9 kids and my bride is one of 7 so you can imagine the long distance bill! My understanding is all I need to do is install an Ethernet card into my computer. I dont think it has one. Then I hook up thier modem to the back of my box and I am good to go. If I wanted to run wireless to a laptop upstairs, what do I do then? I assume I need a router and to make sure he has an ethernet card in his laptop(which I will buy for xmas). Thanks for any and all help.
Rick,

Once you get the DSL stuff PM and I'll call you. I had DSL for about 3 years. It is very easy to install. Are you running XP on your box at home? Also once you want to wireless it is equally as easy. You'll need to get a wireless NIC for the laptop and some extra network cable as you'll have to run the DSL modem through the wireless router then one cable to you desktop.

But like I said I've done all this before just shoot me a PM or hit me up IM once your ready to go...

LAter,

Rick
