Those of you who don't know the words to AZZ, don't worry. Another Tar Heel and I are having enough printed up for distribution on game day for the entire stateof N.C to join in singing "the song." The stock for Kinco's will probably go up based on the business we are giving them.

I have been asked to form a chorus to sing "the song" on ther steps of Wilson Library between 10:30 and 11:30. It will be aired on the radio.

Please excuse me if I repeat myself. I'm getting excited about gameday and it happens every year. After all, we are undefeated. This is the 64th year I have gone through this.

GO HEELS.
I may just have to wander over to Wilson Library around 11:00 next Saturday to see what's going on....

GO HEELS!

You had no way of knowing it in advance but you just joined the Aye Zigga Zoomba Chorus. Hey, I think I feel a little Tar Heel spirit starting to make itself known. That's good because I didn't want to have to bring my Virginia neighbor Ralph Stanley down to sing"Oh Death" to the Tar Heel faithful.

We're not giving in, not giving up and we damn sure ain't going away.

That's fine with me, but you have to teach me the song first....

No problem. I'm told you will hear the song several times before our performance.

Someone asked where Norman Sper is. He is the one who introduced the song to Carolna. I have tried my best to locate him but I have been unsuccessful.

There is an old story about Sper who was from Los Angeles and an all-American swimmer.

Several years after he graduated, he returned to Carolina and they had him lead a cheer. Before doing so, he took the mike and said, I'm NOT a Tar Heel born and I'm NOT a Tar Heel dead but when I die, I'll be a Tar Heel dead.

You don't think the students liked that, do you? Nah, not much. The pines were reverberating from the cheer the students let out. I hope we can bring some of that spirit back to Kenan beginnng on Aug. 32st and continuing for an indefinite run.

Lord only knows where I got Aug. 32st in the above. Obviously, I meant to say Aug. 31st.

And now I'm reading over on the Tar Pit that you were solely responsible for getting the "NC" logo on Virginia license plates. Awesome!

I wish there were more UNC fans out there even half as "fanatical" as you are. If there were, we'd be in excellent shape.
