-NC State broke through for the ACC in 1974 by beating UCLA.
-Then they passed the torch to UNC early in the 80's as the teams won back to back titles in 82 and 83.
-UNC passed the torch to Duke in the early 90's as the teams won back to back to back in 91, 92 and 93.
-Then, early in the aughts....Duke passed the torch to Maryland as the teams won back to back titles in 01 and 02.
-If the pattern holds, Maryland and some other ACC team will win titles in 2010 and 2011. (It's hard to imagine any ACC team winning this year to make it a three year run like the 90's)
