The D-Backs are really bad.
yeah you know you're bad when your starter throws 8 shutout innings with 14Ks and still receive a no decision because your team blew it in the 9th......
Calling them really bad is probably a complement.
I don't feel bad for him one bit. I heard yesterday its like the first losing team he'll have been on since like '93.

You've got to win some AND lose some.

There is losing...

then there is losing like the D-Backs are losing right now.

I really can't remember a team this bad. What is sad is that Richie Sexson could make all the difference.
Tigers of last year were worse

definitely not. granted they wouldn't be this bad, but richie sexson wouldn't make a huge difference. They would still have no starting pitching and no bullpen.
When I say all the difference, I mean better than the Rockies. Not challenging for a playoff spot.

being better than the rockies, is hardly, "all the difference."
And Richie didn't exactly have the Brewers in contention for anything...

Is this just what happened overnight to the DBacks or is this sort of all the years of overspending finally catching up (I read a few reports a couple of years ago saying that the DBacks were losing money at a regular rate because they had overspent drastically to make the run at the World Series)?

They are old. They also had a lot of players overachieve when they won the WS, like Gonzo. Webb has stunk it up this year after a pretty good rookie season.
