In this morning's paper, the oddsmakers have FSU as a 10-point favorite to beat Notre Dame in Saturday's showdown in Tallahassee at High Noon on ABC. We should beat them by at least that much, and with the Noles new attitude, more like 3 touchdowns.

Go Noles!!! 04-cheers
Hey FSU Fan,
Your chances of getting into the National Championship game just got allot better. Notre Dame is #3??? What freaking planet is this BCS being calculated on? What are those guys smoking? Get me some

Irish coming to Doak is Bad News...(For the Irish)

#1...Irish are way over-rated.

#2...Their strength (run) our strength (run defense)

#3...Holiday throwing...couldn't hit water if he threw
the ball from the boat.

#4...Complete package headed toward the Irish.

#5...Identical to Miami game...First time all year the
Irish will have faced the strength, speed and size that
we possess. Unilke Miami, however...Irish (team wise)
have no speed.

'Noles by two scores...31-17

As scary as it may be, I agree with Paul. I can't beleive I just wrote that! 03-wink
From looking at the talent and skill on both teams, I can't help but think that FSU is going to roll over ND. Part of my belief stems from the fact that I'm in shock that the BCS made them #3. What freaking joke. So Bobby, please help us prove that the BCS is just a bunch of BS by pounding the snot out of the Irish. Thanks! 04-cheers
I thought the flubs from 2000 and 2001 proved the incompetency of the BCS, regardless of tinkering. Two other teams belonged in the '00 title game and Nebraska had no business in the title game last year. Everyone calls for an eight team tourney but I say just take four teams. For those who say it would lessen the regular season, it would just make for one extra game rather than six extras. Of course we know it will never happen but its just someting to talk about.
I've actually heard that that in 2005, the BCS is going to have a three bowl game format in which the top 4 teams play each other in the first two, and the winners play in the third bowl. It's far from perfect, but its better than what we have now. What I fail to understand, is that if they realize that the system sucks, why don't they change it NOW!

If Miami or Va Tech, Oklahoma, Georgia, Notre Dame, and Ohio State are undefeated at the end of the season, its going to be a real mess. This may be the worst year for the BCS so far.

From a Miami Fan point of view, we were screwed out of the National Championship game two years ago because of the BCS, we've gone undefeated since, we won the title last year, we've been #1 in both polls for almost two full seasons, we have Tennessee, Florida, Va Tech, FSU and BC on our schedule this year, and yet there is a chance that we end up watching two other teams play for the title AGAIN!

I'm quite confident that if we win all our games, and FSU takes care of business this Saturday, that we'll be in the Championship game, but there will be other teams left out with no losses.

I would like to see the people behind the BCS paraded out at half time of the bowl games where teams that were left out are playing. Who are these people, and how can they possibly sit behind their desks and say, :Wow, this a great system we've come up with!"

Yeah, a few teams that don't play anybody, and I'm referring to Ohio State. Even NCState hasn't really played any one this season. I sure wish the coaches would get real and vote to have a playoff.

Yeah, we're fixing to help Miami and win the rest of our games so that another team from Florida will again be in the NC game. 04-cheers

The Coaches, as a collective group...DO NOT WANT A
PLAYOFF!

The don't really care...They can use the BCS, or polls
as an excuse.

The 6 BCS Leagues will NEVER agree on a playoff format!

Because there is only one way to determine a Number 1
team. The process of elimination. The process begins in the
leagues during the regular season. They eliminate each
other from contention. Thus only the league Champs
would be allowed in a playoff. They would have eliminated
those in their leagues.

Does anyone think that a league is going to give up the
possibility of an at-large team in the BCS. Folks that's
26 million dollars for two teams.

Then everyone will say...The MAC, or the WAC or Sun Belt
shouldn't have their champ in the mix. They will say
Why? Thus they won't vote for it. And remember when the
NCAA votes...that's ALL members...Including Div 1AA, II
and III.

The "big boys" always get voted down.

At-Large teams...Blah! Ain't no problem in picking the
top three or four...who is to say who's number 7 or who's
number 9. Like in basketball...picking 64...is a helluva lot
harder than picking number 1.

NCAA Football is great. It can't be watered down, by all
the at-large teams. THEN the regular season would mean
nothing. Same as in basketball. They play for five months
for one thing and one thing only..."To Seed the Conf Tourney's!"

Want a playoff. Tell those 5 or 6 independents to find themselves
a league. Give 'em a couple of years to do it.

Then just simply take the Champs from each league...and play
it off.

If the fans believe that lesser leagues like the WAC and MAC and
Sun Belt...shouldn't be in the mix...Then folks...What the Hell are
they doing in Div 1 in the first place.

No...Unless it is done like this...A playoff will never fly.

And NO...there has been no agreement on a three bowl...4
team playoff in 2005. 2005 is simply the year the current
contract expires. There are many idea's being talked about...
but just like in the past. All it is is talk!
Yeah, I know the Coaches don't want a playoff, but the fans sure do. So what will happen this year if there are more than 2 undefeated teams in the nation? Who will get "screwed"? :bang:

Well, I picked my score, yards and 1st downs for our game on Saturday. I'm going with Noles 44, Irish 28!!! :D I read on Warchant were the Noles were fighting amongst themselves... now this could be good if they are hyping themselves and their teammates up. Or it could be bad ...

I'm ready... how about the rest of you Nole Fans? 04-cheers
