Unfortunately, I'm no longer in AHL territory. This year, it's the ECHL (or the league-formerly-known-as-the-east-coast-hockey-league-until-we-added-anchorage).
Instead of the 5 minute trip down the street to see the thrashers, I have to drive 30 min each way to see the Gwinnett Gladiators...

Following the minors a little (Lowell in the AHL), but don't have much here in the Triangle. But I get the Hockey News, so thats a little bit of news. Focused more on the NFL though.

(Actually, I think they dropped the initialism -- it's just ECHL now, it doesn't stand for anything. But I digress.)
I'm following my favorite team, the AHL Houston Aeros, from afar -- the Houston Comical doesn't give 'em much coverage, but sometimes I'll tune in the Aeros' online audio for the games -- and getting my regular fix by going to ECHL Gwinnett Gladiators games with OwlJacket. I've always been more of a fan of the minor leagues anyway, though the Thrashers are too darn convenient to pass up (when they're playing, of course). Especially with OwlJacket's student discount.
