Even though we play you guys this year, that's terrible. I hate to hear news like this (Tech has had its share of season ending injuries), especially to a superstar like Jones. Looks like Nick Maddox will have to carry the load the rest of the way.

Here's to a full recovery for Greg. 04-cheers
 Ouch!
There goes the power running game for FSU, but dont count out Maddox... Tech's defense is better against the power running backs(TA MClendon) than speedy(All Wake's RBs)
And we never have good luck against QBs who can run (Dantzler, Curry, etc) so we are going to have our hands full with McPherson.

Jones, played like a Heisman Candidate against Miami.

But Jones, also had games where he would glide and
tip toe to the line of scrimmage and always look to
make the outside cut.

With him back there...BB, would always stick with the
I...hoping for him to sustain long drives...or break a
long one, every once in a while.

With him gone...we can come out in the Shot Gun, which
is better suited for AD and attack with all of our weapons.

Florida State has always come to the ballpark with many
weapons...this year, we have been trying to feature just
one weapon. Florida State has always been dangerous
because other teams never knew which weapon to take
away and in the end, the other weapons would beat you.

Now...we must go back to all of our weapons...

Gardner...Bouldin...Sam...Maddox...Washington...Reid...

Still being new back there at QB...AD can see the field better
than from the I, where he must turn his back to his receivers
backing up to throw.

Faking the run out of the shotgun...freezes LB's longer.
The fake is a second longer than faking out of the I and puts
the LB's back on their heels, while our receivers get in behind
them on curls and slants.

Charlie Ward was the QB in the I formation and in his first
four games as a QB...threw 12 interceptions.

Charlie Ward, running the Shotgun...won a Heisman Trophy
and a National Title.

Florida State also had a powerback then...Shawn Jackson.

From the gun, we discovered a little scatback who performed
much better...Warrick Dunn!

This injury, while devastating to Greg Jones...is not as
devastating to Florida State as a team. In fact, it may
be a spring board too much greater things...like getting our
speed backs in the open field, with a defense spread all over it.

Get ready for Nick Maddox, Willie Reid, and Leon Washington. I will miss Jones and wish him all the best, but our backfield still has alot of speed.
Speed = Bad for Tech :frown:
