New server will be installed Tuesday 12/6. Likely in the afternoon, as I have a 2:00 exam.

There will be a downtime. It should last 4 to 12 hours. This is for DNS changes. If you remember our past server switches, it was much longer. This time the changes are only made at the datacenter, whereas last time they had to propogate throughout the internet.

If you have specific bookmarks, they will no longer work. Go directly to a main domain. This includes:
- ncaabbs.com
- memphistigers.org
- blazertalk.com
- niu.ncaabbs.com
- toledo.ncaabbs.com
- cincinnati.ncaabbs.com
(and all other subdomains and direct-in domains)

What to expect:
I built the entire site over again from the ground up. The following features you may know well will not be there immediately as you move in:
- server flood screen ( :D )
- Team skins
- Ignore
- Post Icons (the ones that appear next to your post in the topic listing)
- Full left bar on portals. Our new portal software will not show a left bar on the forum topic listing / topic pages. This feature will be available with the next release of our portal, expected "soon" according to its developers. Also, a dev team member has suggested he could fix this issue.

The following new features are already installed:
- Massive emoticon upgrade
- Medal Mod (a system for awarding users medals, visible on posts they make, for things like donating)

The following features we expect to roll out very quickly:
- New global Navigation... to display and update the various new features and changes
- Ignore
- Team Skins (yes, even mump's)

The following features will be included soon after:
- phpbb security mod
- arcade
- portals (rice, ecu, ucf, toledo[in doubt at the moment, nobody to run it?])
- integrated chat that uses board login/pass

The following will be included as time is available:
- board login protection (security image)
- NCAAbbs LUG wallpaper

Having been around since the inception of this place I just wanted to publicly give a HUGE thanks to GTS. The guy has put in countless hours working to build, expand and update this place. I have to belive his time is worth thousands and thousands of dollars. He is an amazing guy and I truly appreciate his efforts. GTS, you sir, are the man.
