Why me? It's the ACC-affiliated bowls that are afraid to host a MAC team.

Cowards.
So you're telling me that MAC teams would make as much, or more, money by being in a bowl?

No, I'm saying that Wake Forest fans are going to fill Seattle in droves!
You have a good point there in that the ACC shouldn't be affiliated with a bowl on the west coast. I think you're gonna be surprised at how many tickets lil' ole Wake Forest sells for the Seattle Bowl, though....

how many MAC teams went to bowls this year..and don't give me this affiliation crap..there are plenty of at-large spots...I mean, the MAC is a power conference, right?

OK Scoop, name 2 Bowls w/ at large bids that don't already include the MAC.

Tell it to Debbie Yow, I say she's a coward for not scheduling competitive MAC teams, after the Ohio U debacle.
There just isn't much of a national market for MAC teams. Boo friggin' hoo. :)
Thank you Dr. Torch. I would have never heard of the MAC if not for you!
MAC...Isnt that ussually the conference UF uses as there punching bag to start there season?

umm...huminitarian bowl and silicon valley bowl

oh, and umd (dr yow) has northern illinois on the schedule next season, and as you know, they are pretty tough...(26-17...11/9)
Hey Boys and Girls...

While I personally believe that Dr Torch, has a severe
mental disorder...and is more of a "flamer and/or
troll" than he is a fan.

He could make some good arguments...but again
he is too interested in "flaming".

In the early and mid seventies...the MAC had a tie-in
with the Tangerine Bowl. (The original T-Bowl...which was
switched to the Citrus Bowl...Now called the Captiol One,
but the new NEW T-Bowl is the old Sunshine Bowl...
WHAT THE HELL DID I JUST WRITE)

Anyway...In successive years Miami, O...defeated
South Carolina, Georgia and the University of Florida.

When they beat the Gaytors, they did it at Florida Field.
The game had been moved there do to enlargements of
the T-Bowl, in Orlando.

Dr Torch...Do your research and you will find other
information to support your fight.

I really hate it, when I have to supply the facts for the
"oppossing sides" argument.

What a twit this guy must be.

Speaking of Shafts...The school that got the Shaft this
year was SOUTH FLORIDA. They are 9-2. Their losses
to Arkansas and Oklahoma. BTW...they held Oklahoma
to 43 yards rushing! Correct...43 yards...in a 31-14
loss. They beat 5 teams going to bowls. THEY GOT THE
ROYAL SHAFT. What's worse...they would have brought,
probably 10,000 fans with them.

Oregon is in the ACC?

Or rather the question is, why is it when the criticisms about the ACC come out, you immediately make reference to another (superior) conference?

Paul,
Thanks for the reference to the MAC's Tangerine Bowl success. However, I was trying to stay on topic, something Dumbasscus Terp doesn't seem to do very well...most likely because he's losing the argument and needs a quick straw man to hide behind.

I agree that USF got the shaft this season. Meanwhile 6-6 Mississippi is playing in some bowl that will get worse ratings than the WWE's "Velocity".
Where were you when 5-6 North Texas was in a bowl last year?

I was the one saying that somehow the SBC should have been required to send the 8-3 MTSU Blue Raiders to the bowl game. But they lost head-to-head against UNT. Seems like a no-win situation for everyone.
