Upon seeing the replay, I thought the guy should be arrested. There was no sense in what he did.

There was a guy a few seasons ago that deliberately drove a guys face into the ice and ended his career. I realize that hockey is a tough sport, but there is a point to where it's assault and not just a dirty play. That guy should have gone to jail.
From what I've heard, the DA is looking into charges.
I hope he's suspended the rest of the season. Barry Melrose says it should be 40 games, playoff or not, and that it should carry over til next year. I think that works.
