The big game is tonight. I like our chances. Go Heels! :D 04-cheers
An hour until tipoff! :D 04-cheers
its time!!!!! go heels!!!!!
Holy Heel! Carolina on an 11-0 run and they're up 30-22. 7:07 left, 1st half.
11-0 run!!!

did anyone else see noel's dunk!?!?!?!?!

wooohhhhooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Keep up the good work...there's just something about seeing Duke at 4-4 in conference that would be quite satisfying...

GO HEELS!
what was with that big gap of time before the half?? was there a streaker or something? haha classy dook fans!
Apparently it was a streaker. I thought I saw a bare butt, however, it was only the glare off of Vitale's head.
oh well, great game, night guys :crying:
My thoughts post-game:

1. What an effort by the Heels! Great game plan that came extremely close to pulling out the win.

2. Free throw clinic needed, especially for Manuel.

3. Noel is the real thing! He had a great game against Wake, and another one tonight.

4. Refs were a non-factor. I loved how the Crazies were in disbelief that every call wasn't against Carolina.

5. Duhon & Jones aren't all that...for all the hype given to these two, they were definitely the 2 most inconsistent players on the court tonight.

6. Even Dukie V noticed Jones' habit of throwing elbows... 03-wink

7. I think y'all take Dook at the Dean Dome.

8. Oh yeah...Raymond Felton just played his way into my vote for ROY.

Dahntay Jones: 23 points, 13 rebounds, holding ACC 2nd teamer Rashad McCants to 2 points.

Ehhhh, he ain't all that. 04-bow 03-wink

I said inconsistent, Mighty Mouth.

How many minutes into the second half before Jones scored from anywhere besides the line? Even Dukie V couldn't believe Jones went on the scoring droughts that he did. Just think what his box score would have looked like if he'd been around the whole game...

And I hate to say it, but McCants held himself to 2 points, not Jones. I think McCants is having some self-confidence issues about not starting (not nearly as bad as 'Enifer, but I digress)...his play was affected more by mental mistakes than defense from Jones.

You get points from the FT line, too.
Even Dukie V couldn't believe Jones went on the scoring droughts that he did. Well, somehow he got 23 points. I don't care if he went through your little "droughts". Ya know what? During his "2nd half drought", we outscored UNC, so I guess he did his job, W/O SCORING. Just think what his box score would have looked like if he'd been around the whole game... He was around, in one way or another. Notice the 13 rebounds. Notice the defensive play.

Do you know anything about basketball? My guess is you've rarely stepped onto a basketball court to play, because you obviously have no clue as to the psychology of a game.
1) When the defender forces you into bad shots and decisions, you get frustrated.
2) When you get frustrated, you take even more bad shots and make even more bad decisions.
3) Those bad shots and decisions lead to more fouls than points, and going something like 1-8 from the floor.
4) Wait... where did this begin? Oh yeah... the defender frustrating the scorer! :)

I was at the game, and I can tell you, McCants was his cocky self before the game, teasing the croud (not necessarily wrong). There were no signs of "mental problems w/in himself" before the game, and even when he first came in. Didn't you see him shaking his head like "yeah... bring it" when he came into the game?

Sorry, but there aren't many who are quicker than Felton, including your beloved Blake, who had to play way off Felton @ UNC because he's THAT QUICK.

who said anything about Steve Blake?

bye bye dahntay...

Just putting things in perspective that Dahntay isn't the only one who isn't as quick as Felton. BTW, Felton is 25 lbs lighter and 5 inches shorter. I would hope he could get by Dahntay. If only Juan Dixon could have done the same...
McCants is hurt. Groin pull and a bad back. He was playing in pain. Not an excuse, but an explanation.
Did you see what K said to the UNC coaching staff about Dauntahy???
And the most disgusting thing was the love fest for dookie v.

I think this can also be an analogy for arguing on a message board....

1. You seemed to have ignored my question about Felton's numbers against the Terps...

2. Yeah, not being able to get by Tauntay really hurt Juan in the end (national championship, 1st round NBA draft pick, and all)
