For anybody that has roadrunner, was there a requirement to get a comcast modem when it changed from time warner?

We have roadrunner but I never use that email address and can't even recall how to get to the sign on page.

My wife heard that we may need to get that new modem. Anybody know?

Thanks in advance.

I don't take care of the internet and cable in our house, but I do know that we didn't have to get anything when it changed. However, Comcast is pissing me off with their billing. They can't seem to get that stuff right.

Thanks.

I can get online sometimes but in the last few weeks I have been getting the "blue screen of death" at least 3-4 times per day. Sometimes I get it just after I log off and nothing is running.

Sometimes it takes over a minute to load a page. Sometimes it doesn't load at all.
if you had one of the really old modems you had to change, but I believe they sent notifications to everyone that had those.

I wonder which is the really old modems? I heard they sent the notification through you RR email, which I don't use. I can't even remember how to get to the sign on page.
My modem from the TW days works just fine now that Comcast has bought it.
Did everyone get the email about having to change to comcast.net? That is going to be a real pain since I have used my midsouth.rr.com email address for 7 years. Of course the spam that has accumulated to that address will slow down so there is an upside. lol

The switch went extremely easy for me. It was 5 minutes of registration and they sent an email to everyone on my email list of the new email. No problems at all.

me too...our internet service is through earthlink, so we never had to change e-mail addresses, but the modem & billing was a smooth change - we never had to do a thing.
It was that whole transition from Road Runner to Minarwap to Comwitas to Comwatsi to Comcast that had me confused......gah I am so happy those stupid commercials don't come on any more.
After an hour and 15 minutes on the phone with Comcast I have an appointment set for Wednesday. I was only on hold for about 10 minutes the entire time. They have to remove my account and then add back. He did mention that with all the new customers it has been a mess.

The problem is all the email addressed to your old roadrunner email will be forwarded to the new one. so you should still be getting all the junk.
