Guy next door played Golf at Maryland. Played on the tour. Knows many UNC golf grads. One of these grads told my neighbor that the head golf coach at UNC told him a full week ago that Doh would be gone, DB would be gone and Larry Brown is the next coach with Phil and Brad as assistants. I, for one, would rather have LB as our coach. Phil and Brad as recruiters. Imagine having those two come by the house to talk to a kid thinking of going to UNC. Leaving it with the fact that their kid would be coached by a guy with Brown's experience and connections in the NBA. No contest, IMHO.
I still find it hard to believe that Brad, with no coaching experience on any level, would leave a job that pays some serious bucks and lets him hang out with cool people to take a comparatively low-paying job as an assistant coach.

When Brad is compared to Dean... Larry Brown and Phil Ford... he looks like a wannabe.
But when he's compared to Billy Packer, Dickie V and Brent Musberger... he's a genius!
I really don't think he does "wannabe" an assistant coach at this point in time.
