Word is he is heading to RDU as we speak.
So Kansas will be with out a coach and an AD? I'm surprised Kansas would fire the AD without a firm commitment from Roy. Of course if that AD will always be known as the reason Roy left Kansas then he's not going to be very effective.

Wait, I take that back, nothing about this whole deal surprises me.

doh
Apparently not true, unfortunately.
Kansas folks are saying that he talked with a local news station this morning and said that he hasn't even been offered the job.

What's up with that?

I thought I heard that Carolina said that they were going to give Roy 24 hours and only 24 hours to make up his mind so he couldn't lead them on like he did last time. Now they're saying he's got the weekend to make his decision. Ol' Roy is playing both schools like a fiddle.
The best one I heard today was from a friend who had a friend that played golf with a couple of guys that said they donated bug bucks to the Rams club and they said Roy was gonna finish out his 2 years on his contract at Kansas and Deano was gonna fill in until then as head coach at UNC. I bet McCants will play some defense for Deano or not play at all!!!
Uh, Coach Smith, can we have a team vote on that???

doh
I am sure you all saw the statement released by Baddour. It doesn't look like we will know what happens for another few days. I think Roy just wants to make sure he carries this out the right way, and I respect him for that.
There goes my screen name.any suggestions :bang:
Well, first they said Roy was flying in, then it was said that he wasn't because he was going on a recruiting trip. Then, they said he'd cancelled the trip. If they're just hashing out details, why would he need to come to NC in person? He's been through this before. I figure if he actually flies in, it will be for a press conference announcing that it is a "fait accompli". (I'm trying to avoid the DMLesque "done deal")
