Press conference soon... I sure hope all this speculation is justified. These guys could be just what we need.

The press conference was suppose to start at 10:00 a.m. eastern time, so technically it should have already started.

Do you know of anywhere that will have a updated thread like they did with the Rose commit? I know Rivals and Scout will probably have it on their ticker, but Scout's usually slow and Rivals sucks. I mean, I know that this recruitment obviously isn't as high profile as the Rose recruitment.

It will likely show up on the LaSalle boards first since they are the hometown school. I'm sure they have people there.
This is absolutely insane. Two weeks ago our class consisted of Robinson and maybe Bogan. It looks like by the end of the day we're going to have 2 more top 100 players plus Taggart to add to it. This is what Cal has pulled out of thin air in the last 2 months.

Taggart - Top 30-50 out of high school
Mack - Top 30-50
Rose - Top 3
Markieff Morris - Top 60...and rising
Marcus Morris - Top 100...and rising

Cal just gets things done. Look at Weber from Illinois. All you hear from their fans is how the poor Illanoy can't possibly recover from being stiffed by Gordon. Cal went through not getting Thad Young, and not getting Tyler Smith, yet manages to sign 3 very good wing players for this year and next year. IF we manage to keep Dorsey and Niles pans out at all we are going to be nuclear loaded next year.

Agreed. I think their attitude is: "We lose out on a player? Fine, we can plug in another as good - if not better - who wants to go to the NBA." Nice luxury to have. Our roster is loaded now and in the foreseeable future. And the best part? Cal is not going anywhere anytime soon, because who wants to walk away from coaching Rose? That saves us from "where is Cal going?" speculation until 2008.

Never discount the "R.C." factor in screwing things up....but I hope Cal is here until he retires.
And what's awesome with the Morris brothers is if one is in foul trouble early and the other isn't, you just have them switch jerseys at halftime. lmfao 02-13-banana 02-13-banana

Hopefully, they both are really good, so it wouldn't make a difference.

You got Marcus and Markieff backwards. Marcus is ranked in the Top 100 by most. Markieff is hit and miss. In RISE magazine, Marcus was #71, Markieff #82, Robinson #65 and Rose #3.

You are correct.
The good thing is they're only 17 and likely going to reclassify, so they'll have another year to develop their skills and, dare I say, grow?

Things won't exactly be a disaster if Rose leaves after 1 year either. Look at this as a probable scenario for 2008 and feel free to drool.

AA - Sr.
Kemp - Jr.
Anderson - Sr.
CDR - Sr.
Mack - Jr.
Willis - Jr.
Niles - Jr.
Taggart - Jr.
Bailey - Jr.
Robinson - Soph.
Morris 1 - Fr.
Morris 2 - Fr.

Cooper - Sr.
Dozier - Sr.
Rose - Soph.

If Niles, and Taggart develop at all that might give us the most incredible combination of skill and depth in the new era of NCAA basketball. WITHOUT Cooper and Dozier we would only have one scholly available.

If Rose and Dozier decide to stay we are already 1 OVER the limit for 2008. That is mind boggling.
I've always been proud to be a Tiger fan but this is over the top. Welcome to Memphis Marcus and Markieff. Isn't it great to be a Tiger fan!

I thought they weren't identical?
