Congratulations SunDevil. It's always GREAT to beat your in-state rivals.

Here's FSU's regional setup...

Tallahassee, FL
1. Florida State University
2. University of South Alabama
3. Rutgers
4. Jacksonville Univerisity

vs

Austin, TX
1. Texas
2. Arkansas
3. Lamar
4. Bucknell

The NCAA Regional in Tallahassee is paired with the NCAA Regional in Austin, Texas hosted by the University of Texas. Texas (43-17) is the No. 1 seed in the regional and will play 4th seeded Bucknell (27-14) in the first round. Arkansas (34-20) is the No. 2 in the regional at Austin and will play third seeded Lamar (37-16).

The winner of the regional in Tallahassee and the regional in Austin will meet in the Super Regional, and the NCAA committee will make Super Regional announcements following regional play next Monday.

The top eight national seeds, which generally get top consideration when
hosts of Super Regionals are announced, are

1. Florida State
2. LSU
3. Georgia Tech
4. Auburn
5. Rice
6. Stanford
7. Cal State Fullerton
8. Miami

I see y'all aint gettin' no love from the tourney committee either, FSU vs Texas in the super-regional will be huge!!!

03-cool
You certainly got that right. If we can get by Texas in the Super, I'll have a lot more confidence if we make it to Omaha!!! :D
The Sunshine Network has announced that it will carry Florida State's opening game at the 2003 NCAA Tallahassee Baseball Regional. The Seminoles, the national No. 1 seed, will face Jacksonville at 7:00 p.m. and fans will be able to follow all the action live on Sunshine.

If FSU advances to the regional final Sunday, that game will also be carried by the Sunshine Network. The Tallahassee Regional final would be broadcast live at 1:30 p.m. immediately followed by the 'if necessary' game. If the Florida Gators are also playing in the Coral Gables Regional final Sunday, certain regions throughout Florida would receive the Gator games instead of the Florida State game.

1. If UF plays B-CC - Marion, Alachua, Levy, Gilchrist, Dixie, Volusia & Flagler counties.

2. If UF plays FAU or UM - Marion, Alachua, Levy, Dixie, Gilchrist, Indian River, Okeechobee, St. Lucie, Glades, Martin, Palm Beach, Broward, Dade & Monroe counties.

All other counties will receive the Florida State game.

Calling the action for FSU baseball on Sunshine this weekend will be Tom Block and Gene Deckerhoff for Friday's game and Block and Keith Jones
for Sunday's game(s).

In addition to over 5.9 million cable and satellite homes in Florida, Sunshine's coverage of the Seminoles in NCAA Baseball Regional action this weekend can also be seen outside Florida by satellite viewers who have access to Sunshine Network via DirecTV and DISH Network's sports packages. In addition, the games can be seen by digital cable subscribers nationwide who have access through their cable company to Fox Sports Digital Nets (FSDN). To find out about availability of FSDN in your area, call 1-866-FSDN-NOW.
