wow, great argument! way to back-up your opinions! i really take them seriously!

:snore:
Wake and North Carolina are the class of the ACC this year, Duke and GT will both be exposed as phonies once the ACC starts. Duke may win enough at home to finish 3rd in the ACC but I cant see them finishing higher than that.

I am pretty sure GT will come back to earth when they play teams with a post game.
A post game? UCONN has a post game dont they?? St. Johns had a decent post game. While i agree with you a little on this one, Tech's defense is all over the place. That is the reason why. The post game wont matter when Tech is getting 20 turnovers a game. That is why we are winning. We have the best guards in the country, and we have the best defense in the land too. Now Terpy, do you actually think Maryland is going anywhere???
I agree that Tech has looked great so far, but your argument is filled with a bunch of homer statements:

Can I get some stats or something? A lot of other teams in the country think they have awesome players and a great defense as well. The thing I'm looking to see from Tech is how they'll respond when they play a good team who brings their "A" game (don't say UConn, because they played like crap against y'all). I don't think we've seen enough from Tech to know exactly how good they are this year (I know they're good, but how good?). Actually, I don't think we've seen that from any team this year....

BTW, we smoked #2 Kansas last year (who happened to be #2 at the end of the year as well), and we didn't even make the NCAA's at the end of the year. I'm not saying I think that will happen to Tech -- because y'all have more stability in the program and haven't lost your best and only post player to injury. But, that is something to keep in mind with how fragile college basketball is nowadays....

You know what? That was actually a good point you just made about Tech. We really dont know how good they are. I just dont like the fact that people bring up excuses about UCONN played terrible. They played terrible, because Georgia Tech put the clamps on them, no excuses. We beat the Number 1 team in the land.

And i am sorry if the teams we play dont bring their "A" games, then it's because they arent good enough. I mean shite, if Virginia brought it's A game to the Dean Dome, they would give UNC a shot. That is a stupid comment.

Its just a coincidence that everyone plays bad against us, right??

But.......... you are right, we dont know how good Tech is. The closest anyone has come to us?????? 79-66. Number 1 RPI ranking in the country! The only way it can get better is to beat UNC on their home floor.
My argument (pro-GT-best-in-conference of course) will be shown on 1/11
Swagger, I am not guaranteeing a victory, but i am just warning Carolina, this will be their toughest test to date as well.

Right now, i am kind of leaning towards Carolina with their inside game of Sean May. Teams like Carolina, and Duke at home scare me. It's realistic to believe that Tech will lose at the Dean Dome and win at home, and split with Duke as well.

If we can split with Carolina and Duke, we'll be fine.
I love how guys like timpoulos here are still living in the past where if you did well against Carolina or Duke, you were set.

In today's world, you have to beat the Virginia's, the FSU's, and hope to only lose in single digits to the Wake Forest's in order to breathe a little easier.

Tech has a harder road ahead of them than tim thinks.
I have not seen GT play yet but they must be an awfully tough team to beat UCONN. Who knows how the year will play out in the ACC. I do know it will be fun to watch. I think I may just have to get cable and check it out!
