I bought one and hooked it into my laptop and my big screen tv and it isn't showing the video from my laptop on my tv.

Anyone know what I can do?

Wrong forum. lmfao lmfao lmfao
I've never had luck with my Dell. I have to plug the standard 15 pin monitor connection into my TV. Which stinks, because I can't record games that way. If I could get the friggin Svideo to work I could run that into my DVR
HELP

No, it is technically Tiger-related. I can only watch the Tiger game on my PC or laptop and I wanted to get it on my tv instead so I bought the "S" video cable that is supposed to allow me to hook up my computer to my tv to be able to view video from the computer to my tv. I have it hooked up but it won't work.

Is there something I need to configure or what?

Steve:
It sounds like your monitor settings need to be adjusted.
Try holding down the <Function> key, and then the <F5> key to adjust your settings to LCD/TV or TV setting.
Let me know if it helps.
Jim
maybe you have to select the monitor setup in the properties. just right click on desktop and go to properties and then go to the settings tab and play with the monitor output.

Is there another name for the "function" key? I don't see that on my keyboard.

You should have a key near the Space Bar that says <Fn>. It may be a gray-colored button like it is on my laptop.
nevermind...
try plugging into the tv then go to
control panel
display
settings
advanced
display
then choose tv

Ok, I found it. I did that and it put my computer into "stand by" mode.
Call the help desk. Seriously

maybe you need to change the input selection options on your TV. Change it from Cable/TV to AUX or something like that.

TV's generally smooth out pixelation. I've been watching a lot of video from my pc to my tv lately. Sorry I wasn't around to help, I was taking a Microsoft Certification test. Now I'm certifiable. :)
