CB Rod Council will be playing for Louisville this year instead of waiting to enroll at Virginia Tech in January. After committing to VT last winter, he got in trouble for stealing computer equipment and his status was in jeopardy.
IMO, this move allows RC to go on with his life, as he was a good kid before this incident, and by most accounts really regrets it. Virginia Tech avoids the PR hit and opens up a spot for other big time corners that might want to play for VT. Louisville picks up a big-timer.
