Virginia Tech just reeled in what may be their best recruiting class in Hokie history. Rated as high as 7 by national sources, this Hokie class is poised to bring the Hokies some more ACC titles.
RB Elan Lewis is going to be a good one. He ran for a district record for yardage in one of the best districts in the country. He is the only guy in his district's history to have a 2000 yard regular season rushing and he did it TWICE.
CB Macho Harris is supposed to be very fast. His cover skills, solid. He's been through some adversity lately and hopefully he can recover from it. From all accounts, he is a tough young man and should rise up. He's also the lone five star prospect in this class
DT Hivera Green is another fine four star prospect. I don't know much about him though other than the fact that he's about 255 pounds and runs a 4.7 or so. He will likely become about 280 though by the time he plays.
QB Ike Whittaker is a solid duel threat QB. He has 4.5 speed to go with a rocket arm. Could be the next Vince Young. Solid four star prospect.
LB Deveon Simmons is a HITTER. He's a little undersized at 215 pounds but he packs a whallop. After a redshirt year, he could be a force, perhaps at Whip. Another solid four star prospect.
DE Stephen Friday is a skinny at 215 pounds but he has a relentless motor. Hailing from the same high school as current Hokie players Xavier Adibi and DJ Parker as well as signee Elan Lewis, once he puts on about 30 pounds, he could be a really good one. Four star prospect.
LB Demetrius Taylor is also slightly undersized but has extremely good instincts. He could be a good football player given some time to develop. Could be the sleeper of the class. Three star prospect.
