I came here because of rumblings from Memphis fans recently (hell, for the last year), including Tommy West acting like y'all had won the Super Bowl. I wouldn't be a good Rebel if I let that slide without throwing some barbs back.
However, y'all do have the best football team I can remember Memphis having, so it will be a good game. As usual, Ole Miss fans truly don't go around saying we're awesome, at least not like you are saying we do. I will always admit our program is mediocre, though we're improving.

u must remember the ramblings u are talking about come mostly from talk radio. the hosts usually get it going. they know it improves calls. memphis fans are happy to be improving. we know we have a pretty good team that could win every game we play. that being said we also could lose most any on the sched.
i am looking forward to coming into oxford and playing a great game. i will be bringing a donation to the university that remembered our school when fire destroyed some of our equipment. obviously ours was not a trajedy like urs but u guys were there to help just as we will be.
here is to a great game and hopefully both teams finish without injuries.

GREAT POST! Its funny how from now till Jan "I Hope" 18 to 21 year old KIDS can effect our lives. Its sad but true. I know when I was @ Ole Miss in the early 80's many players would sneak out to come to the parties before game day. Maybe thats explains our record back then also. Never the less be carefull traveling to Oxford Saturday it should be a great atmoshpere for football. The fire @ the ATO house makes one realize whats important in life. The young man from Clarksdale my family knew. My cousin teaches & coaches @ Lee Academy & tought the kid in school. His mother is also a teacher @ Lee Academy & is taking it very hard. I could not & do not want to even imagine what the families are going through. Smack talk is fun to do & passes by time. Mike, thanks for help! Remeber, I will have the breast of crow cooked just how you like NICE & SLOW! Remeber it's just a football game! EASIER SAID THAN DONE! See you Saturday. I'll be the one wearing red!
