I know lots of people check out the flak site at etsubucs.com.
What amazes me today is what they put up on it.
For instance- the "From the ADs Desk With Dave Mullins" link to the right of the page.
Evidently, this man is ultra busy. I mean, we've got a soccer field under construction, two basketball teams playing for conference titles, a nationally ranked golf team (and nationally ranked tennis if one is to believe No. 51 is a national ranking like ETSU would have us believe)-
AND YET THIS MAN ONLY HAS THE TIME TO MAKE ONE POST ON THIS SITE IN THE PAST 54 WEEKS!

Mullins, of course, is very selective on the media he speaks to. This means, of course, that he is very selective as to the FANS he speaks to.
Traditional blue collar fans need not apply.
Here's his big chance to talk to EVERYBODY in Buccaneer Nation! Let us hear his vision! Let us follow his cheers!
One post- and that came a full year after his previous one.
That post happened to be the same unconvincing letter he sent to the East Tennessean supposedly urging students to vote to raise their fees.
Wouldn't want him to overextend his secretary or anything.
Isn't this just incredible? Here we had our entire athletic future voted down by the students- and yet-
Where is the letter of disapointment on "From the ADs Desk?"
Where is the letter recognizing ETSU's athletic future does not include football, but is still bright and prosperous?
Where is the letter stating what his athletic vision is for ETSU?
Where is the letter telling us how the new stadiums are progressing?
Where is the letter telling us how the new broadcasting contract will work?
Where is the letter congratulating the tennis team for its conference title- and saying that even if the A-Sun didn't recognize them, the Coach and Players are our all-stars!
Mullins' silence is deafening. His failure to post shows either his contempt, or his fear, of fan reaction.
Final note. In light of the Kimberly Sams situation, don't you think posting who will be on the cheerleading squad (THIS IS SPORTS NEWS?) next year is a little brazen?
