Normally, you give a little bit of leyway to student media.
They're new, they are learning, they will make a mistake.
But some of the stuff lately has been inexcusable.
Case in point- the article so many of us were excited about- "STANTON WANTS FOOTBALL BACK" on Aug. 24.
Read the article, and he says no such thing. Here's the actual quote-
"If it is financially feasible, I would like to see football come back."

IF IT IS FINANCIALLY FEASIBLE!
He isn't saying- "Get 'R Done and find a way!"
He's saying "We'll look into it."
That's a long way away from a "HE WANTS FOOTBALL BACK!"
I can't believe they would make such a mistake. Was it late at night when they wrote the headline? You are misidentifying the man's statement. Do that at a real newspaper and you're called into the editor's office the next day.
Furthermore- the football poll. What is wrong with "YES" and "NO."
YEP and NOPE?
Why do I think the Harvard Crimson editorial staff has ruptured something laughing so hard?
This isn't poor writing aka Tim Chambers or Tri-Cities Sports. This is just flat out misrepresenting the facts and coming across with a writing style that makes you look like a bunch of barefoot rubes.
Really, it's time to get your @ss in gear East Tennesseean!
