Kennesaw is going to play Georgia at Georgia, Western Kentucky at Kennesaw for some of the before the break games. We're playing a more realistic schedule with most of our conference games after December with the exception being Mercer and Stetson.

Key notes from the rumor mill:
8 incoming freshmen, one of them a 7 footer from England
A win of the conference indeed would be an automatic bid to the NIT even on probation and the NCAA now handling the NCAA.
It's going to be hell to pay to come to Kennesaw and play us at home.
Go Owls!
We were horrible last year and took you guys to the wire down there, then blew you out of the gym up here. The good news is KSU has 8 freshman, the bad news is you have EIGHT FREAKING FRESHMAN! Right now the A-Sun is Belmont and Lipscomb, then everybody else. Belmont didn't really lose anything off last year's team. They still have Hare, Preston, Herndon, Wicke, etc... They're going to be tough to deal with.
Hopefully you'll understand that Georgia isn't going to be the Georgia of the last couple of years, that's an 18-20 win team this year, I never thought I'd see the day that all 6 SEC East teams have a legitimate shot at the post-season next year. There are no off games there unless Vandy just stinks it up, which is rare in basketball.
where did u find that out nick?

and as for uga..they arent going anywhere next season. 15 wins max.
Nick M, I think you guys are definitely in the process of becoming a solid program, but I don't think it'll be next year.

With respect to your incoming players, I somewhat agree with the bball cliche that "you can't teach heigth", but I've seen a lot of 7-footers who couldn't score on Tim Smith in the post. That guy from Stetson comes to mind.
I just can't wait to see them play a few games. I've known from the start it is going to be after I graduate before the games start to get real exciting and the program is firing on all cylinders. It is just real fun to watch it grow.

Owlz, got the info from a friend who sat down with Ingle for a meeting. He said it was pretty cool and got two signed posters of the inaugural season. I was lucky and got one... it'll be interesting to look back on it in a few years when we are stomping Belmont and Lipscomb begging to get out of this conference.
thats cool. first year off probation i say we make ncaa tourney. i dont know if u've seen any of the freshman play nick, but they are crazy good. Ingle knows how to recruit. and just imagine, how he'll be able to recruit in a couple years when their off probation. that nickerson guy is scary good and Whipple was being heavily recruited by UGA and tech was also looking at him. Credit to ingle..but then again i shouldnt be surprised, he always finds good players, wooten wasnt even looked at at all by division 1 schools..and now he's one of the best players in the conference.

Nick do u know anyone else on the schedule?
Owlz and Nick,

If you want out of the A-Sun, follow the Troy, FAU, UCF model. ADD FOOTBALL. KSU and ETSU are in the same boat, big state schools without football that need to add it, and move on. I think if we both could add it by 2009 then the Big South takes us as a package deal.
As for basketball this year, Ingle can recruit, and he's a smart coach BUT, understand that though this is a weak league you'll still struggle for now. That's just part of it, even though Kennesaw has a nice advantage being in and around the Atlanta area. That's a heck of a recruiting tool for a low major, especially one that doesn't have strict religious ties ala Belmont and Lipscomb.
East Tennessee fans,

I am a Missouri State fan and saw where you guys are in the South Padre Tournament with us. Do you know you play in the on-campus site games before heading to South Padre for that part.
Yea, we play at Auburn for the first round.
Greetings Missouri State Fan, just curious if you have ever heard of Mike Smith? He'll be attending ETSU next year and from everything I've read, he was one of the better H.S. players from the state of Missouri.

Good luck in the tourney.

Yep sure have. He is a really good player. He was a two sport star at a small school north of St. Louis. I'm suprised he didnt sign with a MVC school, he will be a steal for you guys.

Thanks. Means you guys will more than likely play Oklahoma State as well.
Here's the press release for the Owl's season schedule... ETSU has theirs posted from what I saw. I admit I didn't dig very deep.

And yes, if we add football, obviously the A-Sun isn't the match made in heaven the A-Department wants us to believe. I just don't see it happening soon for us although the two from one conference idea is interesting.
