Jacksonville squeaked by Campbell.. Mercer blew out ETSU.. and Storey pitched an incredible game in the loss to Stetson.

I feel for Campbell, what an effort!

Day 2- ETSU beats campbell 11-10. Campbell loses both games by 1 run! (Campbell also blew a 9-4 lead mid 7th in this game)

Jacksonville vs. FAU starts now. I really don't see FAU coming in with much after that heartbreaker last night... but then again Jax only beat Campbell by 1 with their ace.

Mercer vs. Stetson at 7:00. Could be a close game or a blow out, with either team on the winning end. I just hope its the Bears pulling it out.

Well, I figured we'd be playing JU in this tourney, but not this early... it's do or die at 11 am!

11 AM it is

I'm confused on a few things here. hopefully somebody can clear them up for me. i know this thing is set prior and i'm not trying to sound like sour grapes. Why was stetson the home team in a #2 vs. #3 game? if the seeds hold, like they did, shouldn't the higher seeded team get the advantage? also, it hurts playing at 11am after playing so late last night. i guess there is nothing you can do about that. but looking how this tourney has played out, it might have been better to lose that first game to etsu. they only have to play one game today(fri). if we win, we would have to play again at 7pm. strange how things work out. i hope the bears can regroup after such a heartbreaker last night. what a game that was with stetson.

It's a confusing bracket and it took me a while to get a grip on it. I don't know why we were visiters, FAU was the home team vs. Jacksonville as well. I don't know why but they were. We would have to play a max of 2 games today, but if we win both, then tomorrow ETSU/Stetson would play and then the winner would play us after that. So it evens out in the end.

thanks. also wondering. i imagine new will not be ready to pitch again at any point today, but will he be able to pitch again tomorrow if we win both games. thanks for the explanation glad it all evens out. with that said, maybe the two games tomorrow could have been better for us if new could pitch the 2nd elimination game instead not being able to pitch the one tonight(this is all based on theory since we have to handle 11am first.

I'd say we've recovered pretty well... a 7 run 3rd inning!

Whew! That was too close for comfort..... Bears win 7-6!

JU is eliminated.... hope y'all get an at-large slot in the regionals!

I watched that game on my computer. What a game!! If you didn't see, Barrett caught a line drive right down the line to end the game... would have tied the game up (or worse) if he doesn't get it.

PS -- We are home team tonight versus Stetson. Let's get revenge!!

Eliminations so far -- Campbell, JU, & FAU

Mercer vs. Stetson @ 7 PM tonight.

Day 4 outlook:

ETSU will play Stetson in Game 1.

If Mercer is still alive, then the winner plays Mercer for the championship.
If Mercer is eliminated on Day 3, then Stetson has 2 games to win 1 over ETSU.
