Per article in Johnson City Press today. and Gulf Coast.. Maybe A-Sun should change name to the Peach Conference.

We do often look like snobs when we criticize Gulf Coast, USC-Upstate, etc.

These are schools on the way up and the A-Sun is perfect for them.

But you have to understand, for ETSU this was like a drop from middle school to elementary.

Now, the thing is- REALLY-

I kept asking last year- what was the REAL attendance figure. You know ETSU will jack it up a bit.

What I want to know is if they were drawing 2500 and saying it was 4000 so it would appear that it was on a par with previous campaigns.

If the attendance TRULY was the same, then there is no hope. Fans are duped and the administration can probably get away with it because ETSU fans- like Penn State fans- are too stupid to care who their team plays.

If the attendance has fallen- this is a good sign because it shows fans aren't willing to put up with it any more.

I saw where that Birmingham Southern was going to drop from Div 1 all the way back down to Div III. The students want to stay at Div I level but the faucilty voted 49-9 to drop down. Maybe they can compromise and join the A-Sun instead.

Hey Pitt for the most part, attendance was the same as the year before. Maybe a few smaller crowds but nothing significant.

Probably was about the same the last 2 years. But I think it was down some compared to Zakee's last year here from my estimation.

GW was the only time I saw any fans here from another team during the regular season. A far cry from Appy State.
