Evidently, there is no emphasis on fundamentals in any sport in the Commonwealth of Virginia if they are championing both Tim Smith and Michael Vick.
The bigger the stage the better the performance by Smith?
Obviously Teel wrote that column based on a stat sheet, not watching him in the closing seconds of Wake and UC.
And as we've pointed out many times here- if you look beyond the points total- heck if you even wonder why a PG is scoring so much and not dishing it off- Smith's stats aren't that good.
And the fact that nobody is willing to take Smith to task for these decisions- the fact Bartow wouldn't mention his choking in crunch time to light a fire under a player's butt- shows that nobody in ETSU athletics is serious about winning.
