and here I am. Good game Memphis, and one my heart could barely take.

Wish we could've gotten those field goals to give us some breathing room.

Of course, I can't let this go without a little smack. For all the insults about Orgeron, our talent, who's got the better team, and all the guarantees of wins I've read in the last month, every single one of you were wrong.

Amazing what happens when you let your best players play, and when you adapt your offense to your personnel (i.e. Spurlock's rollouts).

Did any of you notice that we weren't fooled by screens, we didn't play 10 yards off receivers, and that bush league running punt stuff actually backfired a few times?

On top of that, DeAngelo Williams, Heisman candidate was held to 86 yards (including 5 receiving).

Finally, to all of you that bought the Orgeron shirts, I hope you hang onto them as a memento of this day, and I thank you for endorsing our head coach.

If it makes you feel better, we get a lot less out of this win than you would've had you won.
You are wrong about one thing. Coach O is still an idiot and you only scored 10 points. Can't wait for October 1.

If the Memphis QB had not gotten hurt, you would be 0-1.

Yeah...at least your STARTING QB got to play. Ours was lost in the first series.

Good game and good luck the rest of the way.
How many did U-teetee score on national powerhouse UAB?

Hey, our guys didn't get injured. Sue us. We don't know that Byrne would've made a huge difference. He had just as much game experience and Hudgens, and Hudgens actually did a pretty damn good job.

If you want to play the "if" game, what if we don't miss two field goals, or Pittman doesn't drop a screen pass on the first drive that would've gone for a td, for our qb's don't overthrow streaking, open receivers on 3-4 occassions, or if we don't drop 2 passes that put us inside the 20? It can go both ways.

You think O is an idiot, but West was outcoached by him. What does that make him? Orgeron created a gameplan that bottled up Williams (24 attempts for 85 yards. Take away a 25-yard run, and that's 23 for 60, or less than 3 yards per carry), and fixed several glaring weaknesses we've had the last few years.

Also, as Spurlock gains confidence, our offense will improve. He's no longer being forced to drop back and NOT run, thanks to Cutcliffe and Roper no longer being in charge. We'll be fine.

Good luck with C-USA.
You know, if you talk a lotta !@#@$ as we have, then ya gotta eat it when you are wrong.

O had a good game plan, and so did Mazzone. You have a very good defense.

There are no what ifs in football, as injuries and dropped passes are part of the game.

I was very impressed with your teams discipline, something I thought would be lacking.

For the record, I always hated the O smack shirts. Just wear blue--

i am with egraizzard on this one. that rebel d held DeAngelo to less than 90 yards, and 3.5 y/carry. that was some great d by ole mrs.

as far as the ut thing is concerned, fulmer has florida and georgia up next - he wasn't going to open the palybook up for uab, he's saving something for the brutal schedule he has the next few weeks.

also, it was nice to meet alot of us (on the board - Volunteer, BigBlue, tigerpikapalf (or one of those guys, it was really hot by then . .) before the game.

i gotta get off before my boss walks by, or he''l kill me.

Never played them, they've only been around since 1991.

U-teetee got lucky in that game. One dropped pass prevented it from going to OT.

U-teetee got lucky in that game. One dropped pass prevented it from going to OT. I'm sure that loss prevented UAB from getting their annual BCS bid.

Your still gonna lose 5 games and that UAB Wasn't on that list but a win is a win. 04-cheers

Last I checked we were up by 7.. Worst for us was OT..

You would have been 0-1..

Champ, how many do you think memphis will lose?
Both teams stunk yesterday.....I wouldn't let that win get to your heads ole piss....You're still the armpit of the SEC and always will be
I thought deage"low yardage" williams was the Heisman candidate. Yet he couldn't even get 100 yards on Ole Miss?

He's a sore loser as well. He ran off to the locker room to lick his wounds without even shaking hands with the victor. 100% pure classless loser!

And yes, U-teetee was up by 7, had they tied, you don't know that you would've won in OT as you don't know that OM couldn't have won with the time left on the clock. It's happened before.

Both Ole Miss and U-teetee played terrible this weekend. Play needs to improve for both before the conf. games start.

And Memphis calling Ole Miss an armpit is laughable. Especially coming from a bottom feeder in the non bcs powerhouse confusa. What are you Memphis fans gonna do now? Wait for basketball? That one game was most of your fan bases season. Heck the season ticket prices showed that. 45.00 for The Ole Miss game, 30 bucks for all the rest combined.

4 and that's counting yesterdays game, but who knows now sounds like Deangelo didn't like the play calling at the end, On Tigers tonight he said next time he would take the head set but he's a good kid so I hope he's not to upset just hates to lose like anybody does. 04-cheers
Ole Miss is the doormat of the SEC.

Can't wait for October 1.

U-teetee is the federal pen of the SEC.

I'd say that Vandy is the doormat.
