# TROY, Ala. – Freshman quarterback Julian Foster threw three second-half touchdown passes to lead Troy to a come-from-behind homecoming victory over FAU on Saturday at Movie Gallery Vaterans Stadium.
Foster threw for 271 yards in the game, setting a school record for passing yards by a freshman, and his three passing touchdowns is a season high for the Trojans. The win came in front of the largest homecoming crowd in school history, with the attendance announced at 21,053.
The Trojans (4-5, 3-2 Sun Belt) got on the board first on a six-yard touchdown run by Kenny Cattouse in the first quarter. The score capped a four-play drive by the Trojans that started on the FAU 46 after a 10-yard punt return by Leodis McKelvin.
FAU (1-8, 1-4 Sun Belt) tied the game at seven on an eight-yard pass from Danny Embick to Mike Wilds with 13:22 left in the half. The 80-yard drive included a 22-yard scramble by Embick on third-and-three that put the Owls in Trojans territory for the first time. On the next play, Embick connected on a 20-yard strike to B.J. Manley to advance to the Troy 14 and set up the touchdown.
On their next possession, FAU lined up for a 47-yard field goal with a chance to take the lead. Warley Leroy’s kick was blocked by McKelvin, however, and the game stayed tied.
The Owls did break the tie on their next possession when, on third-and-five, Embick threw as he was hit and connected with Frantz Simeon in the endzone for a 35-yard touchdown. Warley’s point after gave the Owls the 14-7 advantage with 6:04 left in the half.
Troy tried to cut into the Owls lead with a 29-yard field goal attempt by Greg Whibbs with just 42 seconds left in the period, but FAU’s Josh Pinnick blocked the kick to retain the seven-point Owl lead going into the half.
Troy’s Adrian Ghent intercepted a pass from Embick on FAU’s first possession of the second half, and his 14-yard return gave the Trojans the ball at their own 23. After converting a fourth-and-inches from their own 35, Foster completed a career-long 51-yard pass to Smokey Hampton. Foster then connected with Hampton again on the next play for a 14-yard scoring pass, and the point-after by Whibbs tied the game at 14 with 6:53 left in the third quarter.
