Wolfe: It's surreal

By Kevin Chlum - Staff Writer

DeKALB - As the NFL Draft crawled into its 10th hour on Saturday night, former Northern Illinois tailback Garrett Wolfe grew weary of waiting, so he headed for some quick gratification.

He made a trip to McDonalds.

On Wolfe's way home from the fast food restaurant, his life changed in an instant after years of working hard and overcoming odds.

Driving down Annie Glidden road, Wolfe received a phone call from his agent, Rick Smith, telling Wolfe the Chicago Bears had selected him in the third round with the 93rd overall pick.
McDonalds, Draft Day and Wolfe.

I'm Luvin' it.

A commercial in the making for Chicagoland market following his first NFL TD!
he can't be eating mcd's now that he's in the nfl! strict diets!
i think its pretty awesome that we got to see wolfe go from 5th string or something ridiculous to going through some troubles off the field to becoming the leader of our beloved huskies to now getting a chance to play at the next level for our hometeam. he's been through quite the journey already!

I bet Wolfe would be one player the Bears are encouraging to eat at McDonalds in order to add weight.

Just because an athlete or celebrity endorses a Buick or McDonalds does not mean Tiger Woods drives one or eats a burger daily.
