Same goes for Flames, niuhuskies86, and others who may not have voiced their opinon as loudly.

Anybody?
All I have to say is...WHOOPS!
Your verbal assault on Billys skill level was much more pronounced than the other guys. My son was a football player and the amount of time and effort that these kids put in is unbelieveable. Your gloating over the transfer is way over the line. As for you being "right" you couldn't be more wronng in your verbage. If you play a sport in high school, then you know what I mean.

yes, but it isnt like he would know what PLAYING the sport is about...at the end of the day, 7, billy lowe, along with billy lowe's unborn children, have already accomplished more on the football field than you have or ever will. So I hope you are getting your jollies off to being right about something on a message board 04-bow

You know, lets talk about a guy who deserves some attention.

David Bryant.

He's on his what, 3rd position now? DB, LB and now RB. He's just trying to do whatever he can to get on the field. Now there's a guy who deserves some attention.

Lets talk about another one. Britt Davis. Here's a guy who had offers from Big 10 schools (Indiana and Illinois). He was a very similar player to Mr. Lowe. Spread guy. Coming into his RS Freshman year, it was clear Horvath would be the starter. What does Britt do? Moves to WR and becomes the best underclassmen WR in school history. Yeah, we'll just sit here and bash him for dropping balls.

Don't mind me though, I'm just some high schooler with no life who has a woody for Britt Davis and some personal vendetta against Billy Lowe who doesn't know what he is talking about.

Right.
Kudos to you 7. Maybe between cleaning your bedroom and finishing your algebra homework you can provide reports to all 32 NFL teams on who they should draft. Your keen insights about Billy Lowe are only the tip of the iceberg! I for one am jealous of your prognostications!

Right.

Exactly. From what I understood, the coaching staff was going to give Billy a chance at another position. And instead of taking it and hoping to get some PT out of it, he decides to take the easy way out and transfer to a 3-8 I-AA school.

Don't get me wrong, I like seeing Mr. Lowe post on here and I hope he continues to keep on posting here. I wish the best for Billy at Georgia Southern. But Billy just wanted to be "the man." Too bad that didn't happen.

Why is it bush league?
Because just as much as I think it is silly that some people overhyped Billy's presence here at NIU, I think it is just as silly about some of your guys' gripe against him. Being excited about a prospect in your program is nothing new, there are fan boys on every single message board on the internet.

We should all be appreciative of Father Lowe's enthusiasm and openness with the community. I don't remember any occasion in which he has not tried to be as fair and objective as one can be (considering his son was a perspective QB on the team.) He deserves a proper send off and does not need to hear about how some kid wants proper respect because he predicted his son wasn't good enough to play at NIU. We don't know what the future holds for Billy, he could very well have been the right QB to win us a MAC Championship, however it was just obvious the Lowe family and coaching staff did not see eye to eye for whatever reason and therefore parted ways.

Honestly, what was the point of this thread? To me, all I can sense is a little "haha neener neener neener, i was right, look at me!"

As I said, bush league.

Hmm, if you knew some of the details, I doubt you'd be calling us the ones who are "bush league."

If a players father has to make an emergency trip up from Florida right before the Toledo game because of a player's attitude, I don't want him on the team, simple as that. When you have issues with coaches that can't be resolved, I do not want that player on the team. I have heard many times he was a "me me me" player not a "team team team" player.
