Former interim Gophers men's basketball coach Jim Molinari was one of the finalists for the head coaching job at Harvard before it was given to former Michigan coach Tommy Amaker. ... Northern Illinois could fill the one opening left on the Gophers' 2008 football schedule.

Let's paint the HHH Dome with Huskie Red ... Too bad we aren't rumored to play them in 2009, thats when their new on-campus stadium, TCF Bank Stadium, is supposed to open.

Then again, they may come to DeKalb but I'm guessing NIU going there is more likely.
Let me get this straight. In 2008 we will play Alabama, Tennessee and Minnesota(all on the road) if this is true.
FWIW:

We have played Minnie in dome before. I was excited by the headline hoping it meant the goofeygofers were coming to DeKalb.

If those 3 OOCs on the road in 08 hold, ouch !

It might hasten Novak's retirement after this season.

Actually, re-reading it, it is possible(and probably likely that the game will be at Huskie Stadium.
Cannot describe how sweet it would be to not only host but beat MN after years of disrespect endured from my MN luvin' relatives living up there from Twin Cities to Iron Range.

You have relations from the Iron Range? Well this explains A LOT about you......
I'm sure the Minnesota and Wisconsin players on the roster would be excited at the prospect of playing the Gophers.

With Tennessee being pushed back to 2008, I would expect Alabama to be pushed back to 2009 or 2010. Don't count on us traveling to 2 SEC schools in the same year, not gonna happen.

Expect the 08 road OOC schedule to have Minnesota and Tennessee. Home will be Navy and 1-AA. Maybe a 5th OOC if the same bogus MAC schedule holds true for 08 as well.
if some folks from the south or hills are rednecks, folks from the iron range are wilderness bluenecks ....
