Seems like his shoulders screwing up again, well looks like its time for the cubs to prove that they wearnt counting on him or wood this year
so how many cubs pitchers are getting hurt? When will the Cubs start thinking MAYBE they should talk to their pitching coach, cuz I don't remember that many players on the sox staff hurt. Geez
hey i think rothschild is a horrible coach i dont know why they kept him, he got booed at the cubs convention this year
Prior has more mental problems if anything. Cmon, he asked the Cubs for more money after hardly pitching last year.
Unfortunatley Prior is done. I wish I could see him in a Cubs uni again but its not gonna happend and it sucks. Everyone saw what a healthy Wood and Prior did for the Cubs in 03. But thats never happening again.
Rothschild is still the pitching coach because he coached under Lou back in Cincy and Lou likes him alot as a coach.
I do put some of the blame on Rothschild for injuries. But Wood injured himself. Wood has had horrible mechanics since he came up. Throwing 95mph+ pitching alot of innings tore up his elbow and his entire arm.
I dont know about Prior though.
BUt other than those two pitchers haven't really been getting injured besides missing a few starts every now and then

its good that he got booed b/c he is not doing his job at all. He is supposed to be able to mentor, teach, and grow his pitching staff. All they ever do is fall apart. I wish, for Cubs fans sake that the "diehard" fans would take a stand for once and say that they are displeased with their leadership out there and not go out to the games. I know every cub fan thinks that an act like this makes you a bad fan and a bandwagoner, but the only way a franchise will understand they are doing something wrong is to be hurt financially. That is what the fans haven't figured out. Maybe with this new owner who knows what will happened. He may be the next great thing for them or he can be the next David Glass, owner of the KC Royals that only cares about the money he makes off his team and doesn't care about winning. I am very interested to see what he can do, but very skeptical too. Man, I talk too much about the cubs being a sox fan
This is exactly whey the League Championship Series loss in 2003 hurt so much. Too many things have to go right to win. A couple of key injuries can ruin your chances. It was a shame to come that close and blow it.
At this point, it is more newsworthy when Prior pitches in a major league game, not gets injured again.
