Any new developments?
are you expecting any? (i dont mean to sound harsh) it's just that its spring practice, everyone knows the qb situation. the defense is basically all back and we know who is filling in there. rb? everyone was hurt last season so they're basically back.

i guess the only legit question would be who is doing well as a wr. and i can say no one really is.
This is from the spring prospectus:

"With Jones
Geez, I hope we havent attracted all this negativity from the Mdead forum!..have we been infiltrated?..Spring ball is the time you like to get ideas, who can fill the jobs of seniors who left...you can really see your freshman/red shirts play. So you can get some idea what needs to be done in August. I`ve been to the last 3 Saturday scrimmages and what ive seen is alot of enthusiasm, you could never sense they were 1-11 last year. Cowboy, its been quite obvious they are working on the running game, the offensive line is noticably bigger, the only question mark has been at right tackle. Johnson, Larkins, and Demaster have been sharing time there. This is where a freshman might be able to help (at least in depth)..Gotham, Bednauro-Davis etc..Davis was there last Saturday, and let me tell you this kid is big!!!..Priest has been the best rb by far with Walker and Blevins looking good also. Its hard to judge the WR`s when the QB`s cant get the ball to them. Jones was terrible last Saturday as compared to the 2 weeks before, he certainly hasnt taken advantage of Schmitt being out. Stone has looked good as has Beard, Mitchell though he didnt practice Saturday. Bohnet has looked real good also. The defense has been hampered by some injuries, May is out til August and Hunt was in a sling Saturday..and Jones has not seen limited action...he has been in there with the 1st team D the whole time....and by the way..its nice to see the qb under center on alot of plays...seems to me that a few of the opinions on here have come from people who havent even gone and see any paractices.....last chance this Saturday until August....I`ll be there!

Your quote has the same essence of what was the main theme of my post about the passing game both QB and WR.

I should have emphasized that it would be a good chance to see the development of individual players.

I also shortchanged Priest about whom I've heard 2nd hand some really good words.
Thanks Warrior, you are exactly right. We have a new OC, Priest starts to get ingrained in the defense and a 110% on redshirts like Mitchell, Downard. Also with Genyk no one should assume they ever have a starting job and certainly fall practices should be much more interesting.
We also have competition for the PK, a least one DL, certainly we need someone to step up and replace Howe on the D-line, yes, we need a game breaker or two at WR and while spring practice may not be the best since Schmitt is out at least Jones and some of the WRs will gain familiarity not a bad thing. Not sure the entire DB backfield is set or who joins Matthews and Holtzclaw at LB.

I'm really looking forward to the fall if for no other reason to see Clint Allen to get on the field.

Getting ready to return my season ticket form here shortly. I can't speak for others on this board I ask my questions because I'm interested.

I'm really looking forward to the fall if for no other reason to see Clint Allen to get on the field. I totally forgot about Allen, if he`s half as good as we`ve heard it can only help. Some names i failed to mention that have caught my eye are Dutcher and Hoover at WR. In my opinion I believe Dutcher and Johnson are neck to neck in place kicking. Campa and Selmon have been seeing alot of PT at the other linebacker spot. I`ll check into it but, I havent seen Robetson at all this spring and not much of D. White....I think you already know my opinion on T. Jones, so I`ll leave that alone for now...ady to return my season ticket form here shortly. I guess the reason I havent seen D.White is because he`s not out there because he had a shoulder injury that is healing up...and here we go again!!!!...the reason I havent seen Robertson is because he quit!!!..which actually im not surprised at, its no loss for the taem, I said it when he was recruited that wasnt gonna be very good, and the reason I say that is because im from his area.........Harrison has been moved to safety and looking good I hear. Blevins had a nice TD run for about 70 yds today.
