Just a little college basketball news for today. Tommy Amaker was fired from Michigan this morning.

Amaker dismissed after six seasons as Michigan coach

Classy of Michigan. They bring the guy in to clean up the mess and this is how they thank him.

Come on down Amaker!

He cleaned up a dirty program and had some successful seasons without having the most talented teams.

I know it's a pipedream because there will likely be a lot of programs calling to interview Amaker, but it sure would be nice to have him!

I have followed Michigan basketball closely for the past 3 years and I have to say that he was not getting the job done, and I think Michigan did the right thing by letting him good. Just like Judson he may have been a good guy, but not a good coach.

I can't believe Amaker lasted that long. 6 years at Michigan and ZERO tournament appearances. Absolutely unacceptable at a school like that.

Having said all that, bring Amaker to DeKalb!!
