From today's Gazette:

Quote:ROBINSON SIDELINED: Freshman linebacker Rudy Robinson is out for all of spring practice with an undisclosed injury, though he was seen Tuesday with his lower leg in a cast. It's unclear if he will ever play at WMU.

Too bad, as he was projected to be one of our impact recruits. Hope he can overcome whatever injury he sustained and be able to contribute down the road.

We'll have to wait for more info. With the Hippa law on medical records privacy, we may not really ever know unless Rudy himself speaks up.

Reading into it, its a terrible injury. I'm sure the reporter knows that it is probably career ending but doesn't print that. How often do you hear that an incoming freshman has an injry followed by " Its unclear if he will ever play at WMU "

If he doesn't know more than he is saying that statement alone is quite a leap.
If it's Graham Couch doing the writing, then you can't be sure anything he says...
^ lmfao lmfao lmfao lmfao lmfao lmfao

Couch is pretty accurate actually. He does a great job w/the bronc program as well, imo.
Gotcha Mrs Couch

Wrong but that being said, having read his blogs and articles from afar he seems to have a pulse of whats happening w/the program. I live out of michigan and getting any info on the broncs is difficult at times.

I think he does a great job, certainly a bigtime upgrade from what we had.
If I'm wrong please advise where I have been misled. Thanks.

Hell our own president on WMU/CMU week wrote an article on how his beloved Ohio State team was taking on Michigan and what a great event that would be w/out mentioning the WMU/CMU game. He even went as far as to say don't bother him this weekend as this would be his plans.
I'm just being facetious connerito -- I have a beef with Couch and his recent blog entries. But I agree, overall he does a good job.

Who's the WMU president that you're referring to?

I thought I was missing something.Thanks.

The current interm president. I guess he writes a local article now and then.
Deither??? Are you serious? I've always thought him to be a champion of WMU. Do you happen to have a link to the article?

I saw, when someone showed it to me in Mt. Pleasant, but I don't have it. It came from that newspaper that he writes some articles for.

I don't believe he is a big suppoerter of the atletic dept from what I've been told. Or it may be he hired GD and has an ego problem. Who knows.
Naw. I don't think it's that at all. Remember that Diether came to us from Ohio State, and he clearly still has some allegiance to the Bucknuts. Their game with scUM was ENORMOUS as far as being able to retain their national ranking. Our game with CMU didn't have that same kind of significance.

That said, Haenicke is a HUGE supporter of WMU athletics. Our program would not be where it is today without his leadership.

As for the WMU/CMU games it was pretty significant for the Bronco nation as the MAC title was on the line. It was a really stupid article by the alleged pres of WMU. You can complain about Judy but she was good to football.
