After being an affiliate member of the MAC for the past two seasons, 2007 marks Temple's initial campaign as a full conference member. The Owls will play in the MAC East Division with Akron, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Kent State, Miami and Ohio. Under the leadership of second-year head coach Al Golden, Temple will play eight league foes in 2007, including four at home, in what will be their 109th season of football.

The entire 2007 Temple football schedule, as well as season ticket information, will be released at a later date. To place an advanced ticket order for the Temple-Navy game, visit the ticket information page on the Temple athletics web site, http://www.owlsports.com.
Hope Temple fans get excited for MAC East football. The deifference isn't that much in the MAC. You give a team some confidence and it can all come together fast. Ohio improved from 3-5 in the MAC to 7-1 in one year. The biggest impact is that BG and Miami have come down from where they were two years ago. Teams like Ohio, Kent State and Akron are now at the same level as Miami and BGSU. Buffalo has Gill and you should expect them to turn some heads at some point. Temple comes in to the MAC with a history of losing, but they can turn it around fast in the MAC. The MAC is hard to predict as every team has question marks.
From another post and link to the Temple blog, they are attempting to have over 60,000 fans at their opener vs. Navy.

I expect Temple to eventually, and not too far in the future, become a real factor in the MAC. There seems to be a commitment from the school to get the football program turned around. Their recruiting since Golden showed up has improved, and getting 60,000 to a home opener isn't going to hurt. Is "Fear the Owl" even possible?
