COACHING STAFF
36 Tony Robichaux, Head Coach (McNeese State, 1986); 10th season at UL
14 John Szefc, Assistant Coach (Drexel, 1989); 2nd season at UL
16 Anthony Babineaux, Assistant Coach (Louisiana, 1995); 10th season at UL
41 Chris Domingue, Volunteer Assistant Coach (LSU-Eunice, 2002); 2nd season at UL
I think we have a good team and could do very well in conference play. I hope they gel and get to the best of their abilities.
I think we will do better than the 3rd place finish predicted. A lot depends on how well we swing the bat early on. Last season it took took too long for them to get going :frown:
Well this year it might be the pitching more than the hitting. I hope the pitchers gel together early along with the bats. If they do this early this can be a very dangerous team, and I believe we'll finish higher than 3rd place.
I wonder whats going to happen with the schedule now that the 3 games with Sam Houston were cancelled. KATC said that we could reschedule another weekend with them or find another opponent for a 3 game weekend. I'd like to see the Cajuns get a powerhouse to come to the Tigue one weekend. That would be sweet!!

It would be great to get a powerhouse team to come in, but with the season already starting I can't see a powerhouse team finding the time to schedule a series against us.

The way I see it, if a powerhouse has an open weekend before the post season starts and wants some good competition, then I think we should go after them about a potential series at the Tigue. It would help out both squad's RPI heading into the postseason and be a great tune up for both squads. It would be tough to find a team with the same open weekend.

More than likely we will be playing mid-week games to make this up. I would like to see us play Southern or some other local team that would bring a nice sized crowd.
I thought I had made a post that had several teams open the same weekend as our off weekend (May 7-9). I'm 100% positive that I posted it here. Where did it go?

Not sure, I do not remember seeing it. Do you remember the teams?
I don't remember seeing it either. I hope their are some teams with open date that could play us later in the season.
I remember listing teams such as Baylor, Texas A&M, Arizona St., Southern U., and NC State as teams having the same weekend open as us (May 7-9). I would like to see us get a potential series against any one of those squads, hopefully at the Tigue!

GEAUX CAJUNS!!!
Oh man that's some power house teams, I would also love to see us play those teams, b/c I think we can compete and beat them. I trust Coach Robe will make the right decision and it will work out best for the team.
