GO ROCKETS !!! 04-rock

Hey OZoner, I still see OU fans have a special place in their hearts for Nate Gerwig (Sig.) We do to.

How did we look? Stupid CSN Chicago played some crappy UIC vs Detroit game instead of our game.

There's a special place for him all right, but I don't think it's in our hearts.

As for today's game... we didn't show. The guys just expected the Huskies to roll over, and they didn't fight for it. The Huskies wanted it and completely outhustled us. Kudos to them.
Three observations:

1) Bubba hurt the Bobcats today, just as he saved their azz at WMU. Jacked up a lot of shots and missed some inlet passes to Leon and Jerome inside when they were open. 2 of 11 should be a signal to not keep shooting.

2) Cody Yelder went off today and I doubt the Bobcats were expecting that.

3) This is the MAC this year. Sleep on anybody anywhere (even at home) and you lose.

I don't think too many MAC teams will make that mistake in the future. ;-)

Oh really? Look again.

Cody Yelder is really good. We really had little bench depth with Cody Yelder and Ben Rand injured most of this season. When i mentioned that NIU missing Cody Yelder and Ben Rand was hurting us other MAC team fans (Akron or Kent State, can't remember which) thought that there was no way that Yelder was as good as i was making him out to be and his impact was minimal on this team. Well, since his return Yelder scored 9 points against BG and now 20 points against Ohio. In the last two games, Yelder has averaged 14.5 points, has shot 9-for-13 (69%) from the field, and 9-of-10 at the FT line (90%). For a true freshman this guy is good. But then again, when you break Dwayne Wade's career scoring record at Richards High School then you must be good.

Agreed, the MAC is bad this year and most teams are capable of beating each other because of it. Obviously, Toledo and Akron have the edge over everyone and will win most of their games, but the rest of the MAC isn't as good as them.

Really? I think Miami could beat either of them at the Gund. And then there's that other team....oh, what's their name 03-idea ?

Congrats to the Rockets and Chips!

Also a congrats to the Eagle fans too!

NIU, CMU, and EMU taking it on the road and winning. Then Toledo beating the best team in the MAC. Good job MAC West!
