I'll add some comments later. It is a class I believe while undersized in some respects is athletic and has speed.

We also added Jeff Brown a 6'2 185 WR from Springfield Ohio who is enrolled in school. Priest is also enrolled.
In addition we are waiting to see if a Clint Allen from Muskegon MI a RB/WR who propped this year will be eligible. Clint was the 100 metre sprint champion in Michigan and is 6'0, 195.
Aeric Cay might be the most intriguing freshman signed by a MAC school this season. Great size, fantastic speed...not much of a football background though.
He could really be something special
One thing I would say about this class is while undersized in some respects, it appears Genyk looks for athletic ability first and then worries about what position everyone plays. On defense its overall team speed that's why DB become LBs, TE become DL.
I know we get jaded about times in the 40 and this was what was reported which while maybe bogus its worth pointing out: BBD runs the 40 in 6.4, losing some weight will help that time, Jayson Jones RB out of Florida 4.5, Priest 4.5 or 4.6, Gotham can really move at 5.0 for a lineman, Palrock isn't far behind at 5.1, Yousiff and Ohrman at 4.8 and 5.0 aren't far behind and compare their 40s with Rocky Weaver, Goodrum purportly runs the 40 in 4.4, McMahon at 4.9, Jason Williams a QB at 4.5, Reese at 4.5 for a LB/DL, Hunter at WR 4.6, English a 4.5 or 4.6, Cartwell a 4.6, Shieves is at 5.1.
Our overall ranking was 84th in the country according to Rivals with an average of 2.04, Toledo I believe was ranked first with an average of 2.32 including 6 three star recruits.
ESPN uses scores and our top recruit was Marcus English at 74 and rated by them as the number 66 safety in the nation, BBD was also rated a 74,
Jason Williams a 71 and also 119 rated QB nationally, Palsrock was rated a 68 and ranked 143 nationally for DE. McMahon was rated a 68 and ranked as 211 QB nationally.
It looks like McMahon was offered by CMU and NIU, Priest by Buffalo, James Madison and Coastal Carolina, Fox Toledo and CMU, Sawyer W. Kentucky and E. Kentucky, BBD Indiana, Iowa St. Purdue, English Buffalo, Shieves Cincy and Gotham CMU. For the rest of our class it appears EMU was the only offer they received. Many of the players we lost out on ended up at BCS schools.
Priest counts against last year's class as does Brown at WR. And we may Allen and LaPorte if they are eligible after sitting out a year propping.
I think many of this class will stick around. Is is the best class in the MAC? Certainly not. Are there some reaches (wait until Clay has to go through Div I conditioning excercises-track scholie here we come) yes. Does it fill some needs? Most certainly it does number wise. Its a good class when you consider EMU does not have a winning tradition in football (yet), attendance, lack of indoor practice facilities and coming off a 1-10 record.
I'm not making excuses for this class, in my opinon, the staff worked hard to bring some quality kids into the program and it appears got some kids willing to hit the field and the books.
