The MAC has kept the No. 1 seed in the 7 p.m. for several years. Interesting if they go to having them in the afternoon for the quarters, especially with TV available for two MAC quarters this year.
The first-round schedule is the same as the schedule for the women's first two days. Based on experience, the schedule will be more like 1, 3:30, 6 and 8:30. Really, all it means is there will be no break and for fans, it means one ticket for all games. I see attendance being very bad that day anyway.

It would be a sellout if this would happen. Right now, both teams are playing strong, I hope it happens. I would love to win the MAC Championship over Kent.

Just a preview of things to come if we have the Akron-Kent show down for a MAC title.
As for Ohio, those seeds are fine with me. first round.....Ohio should have no problem with NIU considering the frontline of Ohio vs Hughes.
Quarterfinals: Can Bobcats send a higher seeded Miami team home early for the 4th time in 5 years? O'Shea and Coles turtleneck special.
Semi-finals vs Akron.......Zips are good and not playing third game in three nites vs the fact that Zips have never won a MAC semi final.
Finals........One team from the state of Ohio vs another team from the state of Ohio.......

Akron has progressed further and further into the tournament each of the last few years. Unfortunately that means we make it to the title game and lose! But I think with the build up Akron has had it is a must for a championship this year!

right now i would rather be the 2 seed. tv time slot for the quarter finals, plus can avoid either ohio/ksu in the semis.
not that it really matters since either way the teams would play each other and on a neutral court, but i'm thinking that you (mollautt) have the seedings wrong for CMU and EMU. i agree that Ball State would be 7th because of their win over us. but after that breaks the 3-way tie, i THINK (and i could be wrong here) that the MAC then looks at the two-way tie that results between EMU and CMU and uses head-to-head again as the first tiebreaker. that would mean that CMU would be #8 and EMU would be #9 (based on CMU's win over EMU earlier this year).
again, as i said, it's not a big thing. i just wrote this mainly to see if anyone knows if the tiebreaker i described is accurate or not.
