ps question of the day: who is your 2nd fave NCAA hoops team & why?

me? uconn huskies.. why? i went to grad school there (88 thru 89.) was there when they won the NIT in 88. was there when they 1st started to gain national prominence.

ps from today's stater:

Although the team is performing well, there are still a few kinks to work out. Christian said he wants the team to rebound better offensively. He also said they need to improve at the free-throw line. Kent State is currently second to last place in the MAC, shooting 65 percent from the line.

"It's one of those things, its almost contagious," Christian said. "If a guy goes to the line early in the game and makes them, it spreads. If they don't, it spreads."

Mmucha, cold and getting colder here in NE Ohio, but I don't know what is worse, as I don't like really warm weather. For me, about 65 degrees is ideal. .... Good question. I don't really have a 2nd favorite team at the moment. I used to like Ohio State, long ago when they had lots of Ohio boys that I had followed in HS. I used to like Akron, until they joined the MAC and became a bigger rival. Typically, if watching basketball other than Kent i just pull for the underdog!
I've always been a fan of Thad Matta even when he was at Xavier and grew up watching the Buckeyes, so I root for them now too, unless they play us like this year.

re-free throw shooting, second to last place? thats one spot better than last week I think, hey thats progress!!!! jk, I think youth has alot to do with it. these guys will be better shooters as they mature. hopefully they will get somewhat better before the tourney, because you have to hit your free throws in the tourney.

GO FLASHES!!!!!
I root for the Buckeyes also. If Cleveland St. was ever any good I probably would become interested in their program.
I also have a degree from SIU and grew up a few miles from the U of I, so I follow these teams a little. But Kent State is my favorite team, no doubt about it!

Go Blue! Still ticked they hired amaker over Waters. I guarantee Waters with his detroit and Michigan ties would have done better than the terrible job Amaker has done.
