I do this very rarely, but Im going to go ahead and guarantee a Huskie victory this Saturday. NIU is coming off an inspired effort vs Miami-OH and Buffalo has been playing some bad basketball as of late.

Huskies roll...

NIU 78
Buffalo 73
A win here would surely turn this season around. After all, a win on the road against a VERY good Buffalo team would be incredibly impressive. I expect these teams to put on a show for those in attendance, and represent the MAC well, and further prove its dominance over the weak MVC. I know it is tough to make a prediction on such an evenly matched game featuring two impressi ve ballclubs, but....

Buffalo 138

NIU 29 (scoring 4 less points than turnovers)

NIU -3

No, it isnt, and the only reason i know that is because i played him online once. In fact, i played most of those guys in madden 2005...i was an absolute nerd with that game, i got so good it was scary...thank God i didnt follow in those guys' footsteps...all of them are full-blown douchebags from what ive seen lol
We take this game no doubt in my mind.

NIU is like a wounded Huskie backed in to a corner right now. This is a must-win for Judson and his team.

They turn the ball over as much as we do. We have a better offense than they do. They have a mediocre defense, not any better than the Miami OH team we just lost to by a slim margin.

Hughes must have a big game because Yassin Idbihi owns the boards. Problem with him is he falls asleep about as much as Hughes. I hope some NBA scouts are at this game. Maybe New York Knicks scouts??? Buffalo forces some turnovers, but I think we can overcome that and shoot lights out and play some decent D and win.

Oh, and I found out Quintan Lipkins was in one of my classes today. It must be a sign. That guy is tiny.

They seem to be douchebags, especially the guy in the VY jersey, but I'd still love to do that.

Sure, id play madden for money....but man, i am convinced you have to literally play 50-60 hours a week, AND be very naturally good to compete with those kinda guys. In my absolute prime, there were still guys who completely worked me...and like i said, that game ruled my life. Those dudes must literally do nothing else.

I don't understand. Your *gaurantee* is worth what?
lets see my prediction will be

Buffalo- 57

NIU- 53
who cares. niu basketball is completely lost and not worth anything more than a crap high school program. sorry.
Huskies 77

Bulls 68
I expect the Huskies to come in riding high after their huge moral victory over Miami. They will come out shooting lights out only to lose by a slimmer margin this time. Baby steps everyone, baby steps.

Buffalo 60
Huskies 59
MD, don't you think we have to travel too far for this game. I think that'll be the ultimate factor in this lose. ;-)

I was afraid someone would mention this, but my response is Buffalo is still road weary too from all their travels, so it cancels out :)

I completely agree. Plus, the weather is a bit nastier in Buffalo, and I think the Bulls are a bit more weather-weary by this point. The more I think about it, there's no competition in this game. It's looking like the Huskies in a rout. 04-rock

P.S. As a TRUE Huskies fan, I think the win tomorrow will eclipse the Bears win on Sunday. It will for me, at least. Now, if only the media were to think the same way! 03-melodramatic

In all seriousness, the travelling is a factor, I have no doubts in my mind. Not for any single one game but the combined effect over a season. You really can't deny that dyno, its not an excuse, like you said NIU knew joining the MAC this would be the case. However, I think the athletic department had football on the mind just a little more than basketball when rejoining the MAC. Im just saying it is a factor that NIU has to deal with that nearly every other MAC school outside of Buffalo does not.

One terrible MAC team beating another terrible MAC team...hopefully the media will one day realize the greatness that such a game holds. Who watches the super bowl anyways? Its all about MAC basketball!
