Yeah, they punked out on our Holiday tourney, leaving us with Shawnee St. REVENGE GAME!!!!!
Anyone know why they scratched from the tourney? Maybe thought they were a little above our tournement due to their run last year, or did they have a legit excuse?

Your first guess was right. They felt they had better opportunities and didn't want to risk playing us in our house when they didn't have to.
(And I really don't blame them. You capitalize on a Final Four appearance and play it to your advantage.)

Patriots to Host Kent State in Televised O'Reilly ESPNU BracketBuster Contest
Game time and network to be determined in the near future

The George Mason men's basketball team will host Kent State as part of the O'Reilly ESPU BracketBusters on Feb. 17 as part of Homecoming Weekend. The game will be televised by one of ESPN's networks, either ESPN2, ESPNU or ESPN360. The platform and the game time will be determined in the near future.
Mason is 2-0 in the BracketBusters, beating Manhattan in 2005 and Wichita State in 2006. The Patriots are one of five CAA teams that will appear in televised BracketBuster contests.
Check GoMason.com in the coming days for game time and network information.
