Imagine what the revenue would be like if the conference even pretended to promote basketball. The MVC b-ball revenue is impressive! Either way it's all peanuts compared to the big conferences.

The MVC brought in 4.3 mil from its NCAA distribution compared with the MAC's 1.9 mil.........it would be nice to see the MAC get up to the level of the MVC in NCAA basketball unit distribution.

My point was more along the lines as illustrating the additional money the MAC earns by virtue of being a 12 member all-sport conference vs. 8-10 team D1 basketball conferences.

The MVC is "working the system" effectively to get more bids to the NCAAs without any real top 15 teams. Regardless, what they make from the NCAA tourney will never surprass what the MAC earns all sports.
