Impressive!
Don't forget our attendance, which is averaging 1,527/game.

Hahaha... I was at the Bradley vs. ISU game tonight and there were 11,500 people packed in Carver Arena.... NIU is pathetic.... lmfao

That's down by over 800 (-34%) from last season's average attendance of 2,329.

Those two schools are about a 35 minute drive from each other. Each school could easily bring a lot of fans to the other school. Closest MAC school to NIU is over 3 hours away (WMU).

Trust me... there were no more than 500 to 1000 ISU fans there... it was alllllllll Bradley fans in the house...

Even if they brought only 500 fans (the low end of your estimate) that is still at least a 1000% increase from the average amount of fans another MAC team might bring (assuming they bring 50 fans, which most of the time they have less than that). I would be surprised if there are 500 total opposing team fans of all the schools that we play in a season in DeKalb.

Yea, but what about the 11,000 Bradley fans who were there in attendance... as opposed to the measley 1000 that showed up at the convo today??? Bradley is just in another league than NIU when it comes to basketball, and a change needs to come quickly before the desparity gets worse...
You're completely right. There is no way in the world we should be averaging 1,000 people per game for hoops. This program is hitting rock bottom fast.
If you don't think Jim Phillips is not aware of whats going on, you don't know Phillips. I am convinced there will be a change at the end of the season. Too bad because we all thought Jud was the answer.
I hope you're right, GCD.

I agree that Jim knows what is happening, but I am not convinced that Jud will be replaced. I just don't know if we can afford to buy him out and hire another coach. Then again, can we really afford to have Jud around another year?
His buyout is probably one yrs salary and benefits so its not like Minn firing Glen Mason with 5 yrs left. We are in the 6th yr with 4 losing seasons and this season looks like it might be the worst ever. As we have said before, 5 of 6 seasons in a facility most of the MAC and for that matter DePaul would kill for and playing in a very weak division. We just don't have the talent. I still look for players as good as Smallwood, Smith and Rogers and its not even close. And our players are nice kids, good students but show no toughness. Recruit 3 players a year not 20-25 like football. Our team has become so irrelavent that I forgot how exciting basketball games can be.
Don't release Judson at the end of this season. Reassign him to other duties within the University--unless his contract prohibits it. He'd do just fine as a football manager, helping out the ground crews for the baseball and softball fields, cleaning the bathrooms at Huskie Stadium. There are thousands of jobs there. Give him a job like that and lets see how long he stays.

Yeah it was a rivalry game but Bradley has sold out a few other games this year and the lowest I've seen their attendance was 8,000. I envy them.

btw.. GO BRAVES!
