Well..the first one, JUCO hotshot Eric Ransom hasn't committed...He's signed a F***ing LOI and is in class as we speak...maybe it's Comparative Literature or Biology 105. I don't care because he broke some of LT's records as high schooler in Texas.

Meanwhile *** RB Mark Wooldrige from Cuyahoga verballed to the Falcons today.

Who was the dumb*** that said BGSU wasn't recruiting????
I tried to tell them that BG had a bunch of recruits that weren't public El Flipperoo. Of course, your tone is going to go over well.

We know you guys can run the football. The question is whether or not you are going to have a QB that can throw the ball to your receivers instead of into the hands of Barry Church. ;-)

Since your sharp mind forgot that it was I who criticized BG recruiting first, I will go over it again......

Not only does Bowling Green have zero high grade football recruits it also is doing a poor job of recruiting in-state/regional talent which is a sign of struggling.......

For comparison.......

ESPN uses Scout I believe and they never show all of Toledo's verbals until sometime later on signing day. Right now UT has 9 public committments. Scout shows 7 of them and Rivals shows 8 of them.

BG has like 17 or 18 commits right now. Just because Scout doesn't have a clue doesn't mean that they are not recruiting good.

As for Woolridge. He's from the state of Ohio and a 3 star commit that Ohio was going after. ;-)

Woolridge is a big time player and has a lot of offers out on him.....that is great for BG.

My point is you have to stack up recruiting relative to other schools and BG by any measurement is not having one of the better classes in the MAC this season.....

OU has 22 verbals (18 public) and probably another 10 prefered walk-ons to go with it.......

I know the final recruiting talleys are not out yet but the returns this far do not indicate BG will be having the best class in the MAC.
Airport....just take a look at the rankings Rivals has given the BGSU verbals they know about and then tell us about the lack of talent BG is recruiting.

We're getting Ohio kids (Brown, Wooldridge) We're getting Michigan kids (Burrell, Hutson and Bojicic). We're doing fine regionally...we usually do and our program has established a national footprint that has allowed us to expand into Florida, New Jersey and Texas.

But that's all subjective rhetoric...what's really important are the numbers...numbers like 21-9, 38-14, 41-16, 72-21 and 17-0.
Those are the final scores of the last five meetings between BG and OU...The Kitties were on the losing end every time and none of those games were even close.

I think you boys will need a lot more than one decent year in a down year for the MAC to be taken seriously.

That is an outstanding analysis. I can only add one thing of relevance: 21-9

LT was not all that great of a player in HS, it is not like he was Earl Campbell or anything. LT was only a 2 star out of HS and only ran in the high 4.6's in his 40.
rocketfootball....I share that concern about our QB's...but, if you look at the TD passess Turner made against UT, specifically the first TD throw to Partridge, well there isn't a QB who could have done it any better.

Turner made some strides against Akron, Miami and Toledo. We easily could have won two of those games and the UT game really turned on a couple of early plays and Brantley's third down drop on the first drive of the second half.

If he builds on that this spring and fall...I thnk we'll make some noise. I will not be happy if we lose again to (cr)Akron and Toledo

Prepare to be very unhappy when it comes to Toledo...... ;-)
