2nd half of the season kicks off today, what kind of attendance figures are we looking at, will the NFL playoffs make a dent in the numbers even though its not the Bears? Im kind of interested to see how the later time affects numbers.

Does anyone have any information on timetables for Rand and Yelder?

Affect what numbers? Last Saturday we had 1,600 people (and, yes, I was there). Frankly, our Red Riot group was no more than 5-10 students. Even though it was over break, that is still just pathetic. Our attendance numbers have been stuck basically between 1,500 and 2,000 for the past several years. Your interested in how the later time affects the numbers? What difference does it make at our current level of support? I mean it's not like some factor will have some meaningful affect. Our basketball attendance is nothing short of embarassing.

I kind of meant I wonder if the later time will help boost attendance a little bit. Families can combine dinner and the game, may help the numbers a little bit.

I have to say even though MVC basketball makes my stomach churn to watch, I do envy their fan support. Like was mentioned before, that is all these schools really have so it makes sense from that standpoint. I was watching the Creighton and UNI game last night and was impressed by the atmosphere there.

My major point is basically you are talking about the difference between 1,600 or 1,800 and what difference does that make?

Having been a student in the early 70's when you had to sleep overnight outside of Chick Evans just to get into a game, I find the current status of our basketball program very troubling. I also watched the Creighton/UNI game and thought the atmosphere was terrific.

I know what you mean, I was a student there in the mid 90s and I also long for the atmosphere of that time. That UWGB game back when I was there in the mid 90s was my most memorable athletic event experience at NIU as a student. There were 5000+ and a defeaning N-I-U chant when NIU was mounting a huge comeback after a nearly half court ally-oop play.
Well MD you'd think you'd be the first guy to want a new coach if that's the case. B/c your never going to get that experience while the team is this bad.

872 fans - they are pathetic and there are much better things to do on a Saturday!

There were 12 in the Red Riot last weekend. There might be 15 today depending on if any of the students came back early and decide to go to the game.
McKinney scores more then 20, we win. Less then 20, we lose.

That's my prediction.

Hopefully Mckinney can get it going again, the big stat Im going to be looking for is what the NIU game notes mentions in trying to break that streak of having more turnovers than assists, this might be the game where assists outnumber the turnovers.

I'm not too concerned about the with McKinney. He needs to focus on scorign and rebound the ball. That would be a state I worry more about for Q and Paradise.

Woooooooooo
I really think that we're just a victim of unfair scheduling. The teams we lost to in our away games haven't lost to anybody at home.

Too many away games, no time for the team to gel. We'll fare well at home and we need to win most of those games to remain competitive in the conference. We got Winthrop one of the top teams out there at home early that didn't help.

OK so we lost to EMU. EMU is very solid at home and they beat Ball St today on the road. They get their 3's going and it's over.

We have talent, we just also have a really crappy coach. We also play no D.
good game so far with the Chips leading 19-15 with 7 minutes left in the first half
women won today 79-73 according to yahoo sports. it also lists the game at evans field house..... problems at the convo or do the women play in the evans field house so they can set the hoops at 8 feet???
