The way it should be... One undefeated team in 1-A, one champion. Way to go Broncos.

(at least in this fat man's book)
+1 The system is flawed.
congrats bronco's. at least in this fan's eyes
Bingo
When USC and Florida jumped UM in the polls there were cries of foul. Some of us actually thought Boise should be in the mix but we got out-shouted. Fair or unfair the system was set up before the season started and everyone knew the rules. Sorry folks, Florida is national champs. OSU and UM were the two best teams in the nation a few weeks ago according to the opinions of just about everybody. After their bowl performances they clearly aren't even close to being two of the best. That's why this BCS doesn't work. We either need a playoff or need to go back to voting for a national champ at the end of the season the way we used to. Boise might have gotten a co-championship in the past. If we did the basketball tourney the way we do football, George Mason not only wouldn't have been in the Final Four last year, they would probably have played in the NIT.
Boise is ranked 5th in the AP and 6th in the Final USA today polls. tOSUcks is ranked 2nd in both. I'd like to know what game the voters were watching last night? The Sucks had less than 100 yds of offense. They were mauled!

That Rockets lack of success this season still stings, but the azz whoopin' that the Gators laid on the Sucks sure makes it a bit easier to take. ESPN should make this one an instant classic...how to get rolled in the Championship game.
I got this email from a Hurricane fan friend of mine on this topic:

"I say the top 12 teams get into the playoffs. The top 2 get a 1st round bye, and then run it just like the NFL seedings. 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5 and so on. No doubt you'll see a Rutgers or Boise State win the title if there was a playoff format. But then the debate will be how the top 12 are ranked. and certain conferences (ex. sunbelt) are left out and others are over represented (ex. sec). There will never be a perfect solution but playoffs are better than arbitrarily putting 1 vs 2. Most of the time the title game is boring. "
For the Buckeyes to be anywhere in the top 3 just illustrates how flawed collegiate football (atleast at the D1A level) is at.
